The 12 apostles!

As we all know, it is going to start 13 days lent (Sleeha nomb)on June 16 which is facilitating in the name of 12 apostles. The term ‘sleeha’ is apostle and 13 days of lent means for Jesus Christ and the 12 disciples. On June 29th we are celebrating the feast of St:Peter and St:Paul. As we are moving towards the feast, we will understand more about the 12 disciples.

Today we will study the names of the those 12.

We find the names of the 12 apostles in Matthew 10:2-4, Mark 3:14-19, and Luke 6:13-16:

And when day came, he called his disciples and chose from them twelve, whom he named apostles: Simon, whom he named Peter, and Andrew his brother, and James and John, and Philip, and Bartholomew, and Matthew, and Thomas, and James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon who was called the Zealot, and Judas the son of James, and Judas Iscariot, who became a traitor.
